Shampoo is a cosmetic product that can be in liquid, creamy, solid or powdered form. Made from surfactants, it allows to clean the hair and treat it. It is an indispensable in cosmetics for its properties. However, it is still essential to choose the right type of shampoo that best suits your physiology.
The relationship between hair and shampoos
Depending on the type of hair, it is recommended to use a specific type of shampoo:
• For so-called normal hair, there are neutral shampoos at the formulation level. Since the hair is already smooth, healthy, without breakage, it is just important to maintain it and keep it clean.
• Dry hair does not contain enough sebum. Their shampoo should contain little silicone, little alcohol and volatile solvents, more fat, and lots of moisturizing agents.
• For damaged hair, protective armor is required. Otherwise they break, are forked and extremely dull. They need a shampoo that will smooth and protect them. A formula based on silicone and fat will do.
• The most recommended shampoos for fine hair should contain cationic agents that will restore volume to the hair.
Shampoos are developed based on formulas that are increasingly adapted to different types of hair. Their main use remains in the context of hair sanitation. They make it possible to get rid of dandruff, lice and any other parasites staying in the hair.
