ONAIL nail drills: cordless, up to 50,000 rpm, with a real beginner mode

ONAIL nail drills are aimed at nail technicians who want salon-grade power without being tethered by a cable. The range currently rests on a single model, the ONAIL Nail Drill Pro Max, offered in two versions according to the number of handpieces.

What defines the Pro Max

• 0 to 50,000 revolutions per minute, with actual speed shown on the display
• Two working modes: a beginner mode capped at 30,000 rpm and a full mode
• Forward and reverse rotation, to work the left hand as easily as the right
• Cordless operation, 2,150 mAh lithium-polymer battery, USB-C charging
• 3 mm chuck, the most widespread professional standard, bit set included
• Anti-drop magnetic holder for the handpiece between movements

One handpiece or two?

Both versions are technically identical: only the number of handpieces changes. The two-handpiece version lets you keep a shaping bit and a finishing bit mounted at all times, with no swapping between movements, and leaves you a spare handpiece if one is dropped or runs hot. On busy days, the time saved is what justifies the difference in price.

Beginner mode, a genuine safeguard

Most drills offer nothing more than a continuous speed dial. Here the 30,000 rpm cap is a mode in its own right. That matters in training centres and during the first weeks of practice: heat build-up on the nail almost always comes from poorly controlled speed, rarely from a lack of power.
