In practice: apply a thin layer on the prepped nail (dehydrated with pH Bond, primed with Ultra Bond), cure for 30 seconds, then move on to colour. The Rubber Base comes in 15 ml and an economical 30 ml for high-volume salons.

Frequently asked questions

What is a rubber base used for in gel manicure?

The rubber base is the bonding layer between the natural nail and the gel polish. Being elastic, it follows the nail's movements and absorbs impacts, preventing chips and extending wear up to three weeks. It also allows a light overlay to strengthen the nail.

Which base should I choose for thin or sensitive nails?

Go for HEYLOVE's Tint Base pH 6.7: its low-acid formula, close to the nail's natural pH, limits heat spikes during curing and respects thin, soft or previously sensitised nails.
