Pusher end, curette end

The rounded pusher cleans the surface of the plate and lifts the pterygium, that thin film of skin stuck to the nail. The curette follows the curve of the plate: it removes dry calluses, partly works on an ingrown nail and cleans the sinus between the lateral fold and the nail. Its hooked tip reaches dead skin under the nail, between the plate and the cuticle.
