ÜLKA Jupiter 10V PRO sterilizer: seven levels for a continuous flow

In a salon running back-to-back appointments, sterilization becomes a bottleneck as soon as the oven's capacity falls behind. You wait for one cycle to end before starting the next, you run out of nippers mid-afternoon, and you end up accepting shortcuts you should not accept.

The Jupiter 10V PRO answers that problem with capacity. Its 7 horizontal loading levels let you lay instruments out rather than pile them up, and process in one cycle what other units need two for. It is a sterilizer designed for large salons, nail studios, beauty institutes and training centres.

Horizontal loading: why it changes cycle quality

Dry heat sterilization rests on a simple principle: every point of every instrument must reach the target temperature and hold it for the whole cycle. An instrument poorly exposed, wedged under another, does not get the same thermal treatment.

The 7 horizontal shelves of the Jupiter 10V PRO spread instruments out flat, each one exposed to the hot air flow. The built-in fan completes the system by evening out the temperature throughout the chamber, which gives consistent results from cycle to cycle and from level to level.

Three sterilization cycles and a drying mode

Cycle choice depends on your instruments and your workflow: the higher the temperature, the shorter the cycle.

TemperatureDurationUse
200 °C30 minutesThe fastest cycle, for a tight schedule
180 °C60 minutesThe usual salon compromise
160 °C150 minutesThe long cycle, to run at the end of the day
80 °C30 minutesDrying mode, preparation before sterilization

Heating up to sterilization temperature takes 15 to 20 minutes: remember to start it before your first appointment.

The 80 °C drying mode: a step, not a shortcut

The 80 °C, 30 minute mode removes residual moisture after instruments have been pre-cleaned. It is a preparation step, and one point must be perfectly clear:

Drying never replaces sterilization. After a drying cycle, you must run one of the three sterilization cycles.

A few rules for using it correctly:

  • Place the instruments without kraft pouches.
  • Remove visible water droplets before loading.
  • Do not exceed 70 % chamber fill, hot air must circulate.
  • For a better result, let the instruments air dry for at least 8 hours first.
  • Loading instruments that are too wet, or misusing the 80 °C mode, can leave a deposit on the metal surface.

With or without kraft pouches

The unit accepts both methods. Without pouches, instruments are used straight after the cycle. In kraft pouches, they stay protected until opened, which is the expected practice whenever you store before use.

The chamber takes 14 to 49 pouches depending on their size: count on around 14 large pouches, more with smaller formats. The manufacturer recommends ÜLKA brand kraft pouches, compatible with Jupiter 10V PRO models; you will find them in our ÜLKA consumables.

Safety and everyday use

The unit has an emergency cut-off and an emergency opening mechanism. Its 53.5 × 39 × 26.5 cm body stays compact given the chamber volume it offers, 23.3 × 31 × 16.2 cm, but plan for a stable surface: the unit weighs up to 17 kg.

It is intended for metal instruments that withstand high temperatures: scissors, nippers, pushers, bits and other manicure and pedicure tools.

  1. Clean the chamber regularly, burnt residue eventually marks the walls.
  2. Follow the loading instructions and the 70 % maximum fill rate.
  3. Check that instruments are clean and dry before any sterilization cycle.
  4. Let the unit cool down before moving or cleaning it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ÜLKA dry heat sterilizer for?

It provides professional thermal sterilization of metal manicure and pedicure instruments, so instrument processing can be organised reliably and consistently every day.

Who is the Jupiter 10V PRO for?

Nail technicians, beauty salons, nail studios, institutes and training centres processing a high volume of instruments.

Which instruments can be sterilized in it?

Metal instruments that withstand high temperatures: scissors, nippers, pushers, bits and similar tools.

Is it suitable for a busy salon?

Yes, that is precisely its purpose, thanks to its 7 horizontal loading levels and a capacity of up to 49 kraft pouches depending on their size.

What is the 80 °C drying mode for?

To prepare instruments before sterilization by removing the residual moisture left after pre-cleaning.

Does the drying mode replace sterilization?

No. It is a preparation step and must always be followed by a sterilization cycle at 160, 180 or 200 °C.

Can instruments be dried inside kraft pouches?

No. In drying mode, instruments must be placed without pouches.

Why can a deposit appear after drying?

It comes from loading instruments that are too wet, from water residue that was not removed, or from misuse of the 80 °C mode.

Can the chamber be filled completely?

No, the recommended fill rate is 70 % maximum, so that hot air circulates evenly between the instruments.

How many kraft pouches does the chamber hold?

From 14 to 49 depending on their size: around 14 large pouches, more with smaller formats.

Which kraft pouches should be used?

The manufacturer recommends ÜLKA brand kraft pouches, compatible with Jupiter 10V PRO models.

How long does it take to heat up?

15 to 20 minutes to reach sterilization temperature. Start heating before your first appointment.
