Why heat wears LEDs out

An LED does not fail suddenly: it gradually loses intensity. That ageing is directly linked to the temperature it runs at. In professional use, where the lamp cycles all day long, heat builds up in the modules and accelerates that loss.

The aluminium heat sinks in the LÜMOS PRO transfer that heat out of the LED modules. The benefit shows over time: a lamp still at full intensity after two years still cures properly, whereas a tired lamp leaves soft areas at the cuticle and the free edge.

30 LEDs and two wavelengths

The LÜMOS PRO holds 30 LEDs spread through the whole dome, for even light distribution across all five fingers. It works at two wavelengths, 365 and 405 nm, covering the photoinitiators used in the vast majority of gel polishes, builder gels and other UV/LED compatible products. Light output is 39 mW/cm².

Distribution matters as much as raw power: it is what prevents under-cured areas, the main cause of early lifting around the nail.

Mains power: constant intensity, no time limit

This version runs from the mains, at 24 V DC, with no battery. It is the fixed-station choice: the lamp delivers the same intensity from the first appointment to the last, with no variation tied to a charge level, and no battery to replace after a few hundred cycles.

Its timer offers 10, 30, 60 and 99 seconds. The 10-second mode, absent from the battery version, is the flash-cure setting used between coats: it saves time on every application.

Automatic sensor and removable base

The sensor starts the lamp as soon as the hand enters the dome. There is no button to press between coats, which counts when your gloves are covered in product.

The base is removable. It comes off for cleaning and disinfection after each client, and it also comes off to fit a foot: that is what makes the LÜMOS PRO usable for manicure and pedicure without buying a second unit.

Footprint and connectivity

At 18.5 × 19 × 8 cm and 0.85 kg, the lamp fits a station already carrying a dust collector and an e-file. Its two USB ports power an accessory, a task light or a phone, without taking up another socket on the power strip.

1. Remove the base and clean it after each client, filing dust settles inside the dome.
2. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth, without abrasive products: scratches on the reflector reduce the light sent back to the nail.
3. Never block the ventilation openings, they exist precisely for heat dissipation.
