The reference most salons are missing

Almost every cuticle oil on the market is sweet: vanilla, coconut, red berries, caramel. That suits the majority, but not everyone. Clients who dislike gourmand notes, those working in environments where a sweet fragrance is out of place, and male clients, a growing part of manicure custom, often refuse the oil for that reason alone. Keeping a woody one in reserve settles that objection in one sentence.

How to apply it

A small quantity on the cuticle and the nail plate nearby, then a circular massage until absorbed. On a fragrance this present, a single drop is ample: excess saturates the workspace faster than a light fruity note would.

Varying fragrances in the salon

A practical tip that few apply. Using the same oil all day saturates the sense of smell, starting with your own: after three clients you no longer notice it, you apply more, and the following clients find it too strong. Alternating two or three fragrances across the day solves the problem and lets you adapt to each client's preference.

What the oily base brings

Sweet almond oil and grapeseed oil are whole vegetable oils. They nourish deeply but stay on the surface a little longer than a dry base: perfect for an evening application, slightly less so for a client leaving immediately to work at a keyboard.
