DNKa' Fast Gel 0020 Oxford: the pastel coral that closes the collection

With Fast Gel DNKa' #0020, the Oxford collection finally steps out of nude territory. This is the most colourful of the eleven references: a warm, rosy coral pulled into pastel by a generous dose of white. It stays gentle to the eye, yet you can see it, and that is exactly what is asked of it. Like the other Fast Gels, it is a liquid builder gel worked in a single evening coat.

Coral, but pastel: the distinction that matters

A true coral belongs to the register of bright colours; pulled towards pastel, it changes status entirely. #0020 keeps the orange warmth of coral and the liveliness of its pink, but the whiteness that softens it makes the shade wearable at the office, at a family gathering, in any professional setting where a saturated colour would not pass. That is a rare compromise: a real colour that stays within the field of well-behaved manicures.

The only Oxford pink you genuinely notice

The other three pinks of the collection stay discreet, each in their own way: neutrality for #0017, a milky veil for #0018, cool freshness for #0019. #0020 makes the opposite choice. It does not try to extend the natural colour of the nail, it proposes a different one. Offer it to clients who find nudes dull and yet hesitate to go red: this is precisely the intermediate step they are missing.

Two readings depending on skin tone

On golden, olive or tanned skin, pastel coral is on home ground: the warmth shared by shade and skin creates an immediate, very sunny agreement. On fair skin, #0020 works as a cheerful contrast, the nail supplying the colour the hand does not have. On deep complexions its pastel density comes through with real brightness, an effect much sought after on short square nails. None of these three readings is better than the others: they are three ways of wearing the same shade.

The shade of bright months and bare feet

Spring, summer, holidays, an outdoor wedding, the first pedicure of the season: that is the natural calendar of #0020. It is one of the rare builder shades you can propose straight away for matching hands and feet, with a coherent result on both. On toenails its warmth holds up particularly well against a tan.

Density, passes, layering

Pigmentation varies widely within the Fast Gel range, and #0020 sits in the coloured part of the chart. In one evening coat you obtain a blended shade, still slightly translucent over the lunula; a second, thinner pass closes it up and makes it even from free edge to cuticle. Adjust according to what the client expects: a fruity veil or a full colour.

Building with a liquid gel

Fast Gel is not a gel polish but a sculpting gel. Its controlled fluidity makes it spread and find its own level, replacing multi-stage sculpting with a single application. Use it to strengthen, lengthen, infill, correct a profile or rebuild. Its low-acid formula, free from HEMA and TPO, makes it appropriate for thin nails. One size across the range: 12 ml.

Curing and pairings

Under a 48/36 W LED-UV lamp: base 30 to 60 seconds, Fast Gel 90 to 180 seconds, top coat 120 to 180 seconds. As for decoration, #0020 pairs beautifully with pure white for a coloured french, with warm gold for a sunny result, with orange glitter and with freehand painted flowers. It also takes a matte top, which gives it a very modern ripe-fruit look.

DNKa' Fast Gel 0020 Oxford brings the collection the splash of colour that turns a well-behaved manicure into a cheerful one.
