DNKa' Fast Gel 0013 Oxford: the everyday powder pink

If you could keep only one number of the Oxford collection on your workstation, this would probably be it. DNKa' Fast Gel 0013 is a very light powder pink, soft and weakly saturated, supplied in 12 ml. Like the whole range it is a liquid builder gel of medium-liquid consistency, intended for reinforcing the natural nail, for extension, refills, correction and reconstruction, and not a semi-permanent colour product.

A pink that looks like a nail

The strength of this shade lies in how closely it resembles the natural colour of a nail bed in good condition. Where a beige gives a clean but slightly mineral result, this pink makes the hand look alive: it restores the rosy appearance we instinctively associate with a well-kept nail. Clients rarely put that into words, but they feel it immediately when they look at their hands in daylight.

Camouflage without looking like camouflage

A lightly saturated powder pink hides visual irregularities on the plate well, the whiter or darker patches, the tonal differences between ten fingers. It does so by diffusion rather than by brute opacity, so the result keeps some translucency and never reads as a flat coat of paint. On a hand the client considers unflattering, that is exactly the effect wanted: the manicure disappears and only the result is noticed.

The shade that saves time on refills

Refills are where this number pays for itself fastest. Because the pink sits close to the colour of the nail bed, the regrowth area blends in with almost no transition and you are not chasing a hard line with the file. The self-levelling fluidity does the rest: the gel evens itself out across old and new product alike, which cuts down the finishing work before curing.

One movement for strength and colour

The principle of the range is to replace multi-layer sculpting with a single levelling coat. You do not lay a structure first and a colour afterwards, you place both at once. That keeps the final thickness down, which matters on short nails, and it shortens the appointment appreciably. For reconstruction on a damaged nail, the low acid content and the absence of HEMA and TPO round out the appeal of the product.

Technical sequence and curing durations

Allow 30 to 60 seconds of 48/36 W LED-UV lamp for the base. 0013 then cures in between 90 and 180 seconds, a duration to adjust to the amount of material you have laid down. The top coat finishes the job in 120 to 180 seconds. Bear in mind that coverage varies across the range, and that the densest shades can be worn as they are, with no glossy finish, when they act as the final colour.

Who to offer it to, and in what form

This pink suits almost every fair and medium complexion, and works particularly well on short, bitten or freshly regrown nails, where it brings regularity without length. Offer it for a classic bride, for a back-to-work service, or simply as a background colour when the client cannot decide. A white line, a gold pearl near the cuticle or a matte top is all it takes to move it into another register.

Keep DNKa' Fast Gel 0013 Oxford within arm's reach: this is the powder pink you will apply more often than any other.
