Jelly Gel HEYLOVE Clear: the thick transparent builder gel

Clear opens the Jelly Gel collection with its most neutral version. A perfectly transparent gel, with a consistency markedly denser than the other builder gels in the catalogue.

Three gels, three different materials

The distinction deserves stating clearly, because it governs the advice at purchase. Smart Gel HEYLOVE is liquid, of medium elasticity, applied with the brush from the bottle. Frame Gel HEYLOVE is creamy, of moderate elasticity, and self-levels. Jelly Gel is thick and hard: it does not flow, it is sculpted. These are not three versions of the same product but three materials answering distinct gestures.

What it is made for

Its density makes it the material for lengths that have to hold. Where a self-levelling gel spreads on its own, this one stays exactly where you put it, which gives total control over the apex and the sidewalls. In return it asks for more modelling: this is not the gel of a technician in a hurry, it is the gel of a technician who builds.

How to apply it

Degrease the plate thoroughly with pH Bond HEYLOVE. Lay the acid-free primer Ultra Bond HEYLOVE on the free edge and wait until the liquid is completely dry. Apply a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE. Then carry out the extension or the strengthening with Jelly Gel and cure for one to two minutes in a UV or LED lamp. Finish with the top coat.

Why start with the transparent one

This is the shade you learn sculpting on. Nothing masks the shape you are building: the apex, the thickness at the free edge and the sidewalls stay visible at every moment. On a milky or coloured gel, those flaws only appear at the final filing, when it is too late to correct them without losing material.
