What is The Gel Polish Andreia?

The Gel Polish is a gel nail polish from Andreia Professional, the Portuguese leader in nail prosthetics. This semi-permanent polish is made of acrylic resin, which is similar to a gel to which color pigments are added. Thicker than a classic nail polish, this semi-permanent polish dries only under UV LED lamp. This allows it to harden quickly and achieve incredible durability. Recently introduced in the manicure field, The Gel Polish lives up to its great promises and more. But, what makes it different from a classic polish? The formulas of semi-permanent polishes often vary by brand, whether it's the shade, viscosity, or packaging. This one is solvent-free, odorless, vegan, and ultra-pigmented, thus much less aggressive to use, it did not require any use of laboratory animals and it can be applied in a single layer if desired.

How to apply The Gel Polish Andreia?

The Gel Polish Andreia is most often applied by professionals, but you can also do it at home if you have a UV lamp. Whether you do it in a salon or at home, it is applied after preparing the nails! In other words, start the manicure by cleaning them thoroughly. Then, push back the cuticles, lightly abrade the surface of the natural nail for better adhesion, and remove any dust. Proceed to apply the semi-permanent polish. For this, apply a Base, then one or two layers of semi-permanent polish and a layer of Top Coat (finish). Between each of these layers, the hand must be placed under the UV LED lamp for two minutes or 60 seconds.

These additional tips can help you avoid pitfalls:

  1. The necessary condition for applying semi-permanent polish is to have healthy and aesthetically correct nails. Otherwise, this product may damage them even more, especially since you need to file their surface before application.
  2. Be careful not to touch the cuticles and the skin around with the polish. If this happens, immediately remove the polish with a wooden stick, before proceeding to curing.
  3. Before the Top Coat layer, you can express your creativity with Nail art designs.

How to remove the semi-permanent polish?

For removing the polish, you can easily do it at home.

  • Place a cotton pad soaked in Remover (cosmetic acetone) on the nail.
  • Wrap everything in aluminum foil for about 15 minutes.
  • Scrape off the remaining polish with a cuticle pusher and nourish the natural nail well.
