Base Fix Tips HEYLOVE: bonding tips without glue

Base Fix Tips is a clear base of thick consistency, dedicated to securing tips. It replaces conventional glue with an elastic material that cures under the lamp, with a pH of 6.5 and a supple texture after curing.

How to apply a tip with this base

The HEYLOVE routine runs in three stages. First apply Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear to the prepared nail and cure for 20 seconds. Then degrease the inside of the tip, and apply Ultra Bond HEYLOVE followed by Base Fix Tips. Finally, without curing the base on the tip, press the tip onto the nail and cure for one minute under the lamp.

Why a base rather than a glue

The difference lies in when it sets. Cyanoacrylate glue seizes in seconds: if the tip is misaligned, it has to come off. Here the material stays workable as long as it has not been under the lamp. You position it, check the axis and the contact at the free edge, then cure only once the placement suits you. That is a real comfort on bitten or heavily curved nails, where fitting takes several attempts.

What the thick texture is for

A fluid base would escape from the tip under pressure and leave hollow areas under the shell. The thick consistency instead fills the contact and compensates for irregularities between the curve of the tip and that of the natural nail. The elasticity retained after curing then plays the same role as on a rubber base: it absorbs stress instead of transmitting it to the join.

Technicians who regularly work with Gel Tips HEYLOVE and want a more comfortable placement window than glue allows. The 15 ml format keeps for 36 months, and 24 months after opening, stored closed between 15 and 25 degrees, away from direct light.

This formula contains neither HEMA nor Di-HEMA, so it falls outside the European restriction that reserves those two substances for professional use.
