Tips Stickers HEYLOVE Nail Cushion: eleven fade shades

The envelope brings together the eleven Nail Cushion labels: White, Pink, Lilac, Pool, Blue, Tan, Beige, Nude, Brown, Chocolate and Burgundy. It is the second largest envelope in the catalogue.

A fade chart is built differently

That is the point to understand before assembling this display. These gels are not applied flat but with a sponge, fading towards the cuticle. A tip covered in an even coat therefore shows nothing of what the product does. Build each sample as a fade, exactly as on a client's nail.

Eleven shades, two uses

The light ones : White, Pink, Lilac, Tan, Beige, Nude : serve for discreet fades and baby boomer sets. The deeper ones : Pool, Blue, Brown, Chocolate, Burgundy : give marked gradients that read from a distance. Separate them on the display: these are two different propositions.

How to apply them

Stick each label on the matching tip, on the side that does not carry the material, before fixing the tip to the ring or fan. Across eleven references, label as you build without fail.

The fade is a service that gets charged

It is a technique that demands mastery and is paid beyond the colour set. But the client has to know she can ask for it, and a chart of eleven shades built as fades tells her without a word.

A fade is judged over the length of the nail. Plan long tips rather than half caps, otherwise the gradient has no room to develop and all eleven shades look alike.

A word on wear

Glitter does not fade, it dulls: the top coat above it scratches, and the sparkle goes with it. That is why the quality of the seal decides how long the set stays impressive, far more than the gel underneath.
