Petit Faon: six fawn shades running from cream to brown
Some kits are bought for one colour. This one is bought for the progression: six shades laid out in order, from the palest cream to the deepest brown, with no break between two bottles.
That is what makes it so easy to work with. One colour per nail and you have a tonal hand that holds together without thinking, or a single shade and you stay in the warm nude your clients ask for all winter.
The six shades
- Cannoli Cream, cream nude, the fawn's belly and the start of the gradient.
- Florence Beige, light beige, the one that works on fairer skin tones.
- Cashmere, soft slightly pink beige, the most flattering of the six.
- Milan Taupe, taupe, the exact middle of the gradient.
- Siena Mocha, mocha brown, where the coat warms up.
- Horse, fawn brown, the fawn's back and the deepest in the kit.
Why this kit
Three of these six shades carry Italian city names, Florence, Milan and Siena, and that is exactly the register of this kit: soft, worked browns that look unremarkable one at a time and become obvious once lined up. A full tonal range normally costs six separate decisions on a colour chart; here it fits in one box.
The protocol
- Prepare the nail, remove the shine, work the cuticle.
- Apply your usual base thinly and cure 60 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV. The base is never cleansed.
- Apply the colour in two thin coats, curing between each.
- Finish with your top coat and cap the free edge. If your top leaves a dispersion layer, wipe it with cleanser.
Good to know
This kit contains the colours only: base and top are not included, you work with the ones you already have. Always work in thin layers, most wear problems come from a coat that is too thick and not from the product.
