Gel Polish HEYLOVE Horse: the plum brown of the Basic collection

Horse evokes the dark bay coat of a horse. A very dark brown run through with a plum note, which makes it the only frankly cool brown of the collection, where all the others lean towards red or gold.

The only cool brown of the family

That particularity makes it a complement rather than a competitor to the other browns. On a client with cool undertones, on whom golden browns look yellow, Horse is often the only one in the family that genuinely works. In a limited assortment it earns its place on that singularity rather than on its depth.

How to apply it

Cleansing with pH Bond HEYLOVE, primer Ultra Bond HEYLOVE laid on the edge and left to set in the air, then 30 to 60 seconds of lamp on Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear. Shake, then a thin veil of Horse, one minute under the lamp. Its density makes a second coat rarely necessary.

What to pair it with

Silver decoration suits it better than gold, contrary to the rest of the family: its cool cast agrees with cool metals. Another singularity worth knowing when composing a set.

On which skin tones

It particularly suits fair skin with cool undertones, where its plum note harmonises with the visible veins at the wrist. On deeper skin it stays very wearable but reads more like a classic dark brown.

When to suggest it

In the cold season, where its depth accompanies winter clothing. On short nails it stays sober and perfectly wearable; on long nails it becomes frankly solemn.

How many bottles to plan for

Cool browns are rarer than warm ones, so this reference sells to a specific clientele. One bottle is enough to start.

Which top to finish with

Gloss deepens the plum note. A matte finish softens it and shifts it towards a more muted register.
