Frame Gel HEYLOVE Zephyr: the milky lavender of the Frame Gel range

Zephyr brings the cool note missing from a range dominated by beiges and warm pinks. A lavender softened with white, almost frosted, which stays in the natural register while introducing a nuance the other references do not have.

A lavender neutralises yellow

This is the colour wheel principle, and it applies directly at the desk. Mauve sits opposite yellow: laid on a naturally yellowed nail, a milky lavender visually softens that cast where a warm beige accentuates it. On a client whose nails have been marked by repeated dark polishes or by smoking, this shade does work the others cannot do.

How to apply it

File at 180 or with a 100-grit buffer, degrease under the cuticle and in the sidewalls, then allow thirty seconds of dehydrator drying. The base goes on with rubbing motions, is levelled and cures in 30 seconds. Dispense the Frame Gel, apply it as an architectural layer or on forms, flash each nail for 30 seconds then cure both hands for one to two minutes.

Elastic in a thin layer, hard at one millimetre

This double property explains how the product behaves. In a thin layer it stays flexible and follows the movements of the natural nail, which limits the risk of lifting at the cuticle. At one millimetre of thickness it becomes rigid with a slight capacity to absorb shock: it holds its shape and resists chipping. The thickness you lay down decides the final behaviour.

On which hands it shows best

It plays fully on cool skin tones, where the mauve naturally extends the visible veins at the wrist. On warm skin it stays wearable but reads more as a colour than as a nude.

When to suggest it

All year round. Its corrective quality makes it useful in every season, independently of fashion.

This formula contains neither HEMA nor Di-HEMA, so it falls outside the European restriction that reserves those two substances for professional use.
