Nail Magnet HEYLOVE: two effects in one magnet

This 12 centimetre magnet is used to orient the metallic particles in magnetic gel polishes. What sets it apart from common models is its design: its two ends do not have the same polarity and therefore do not produce the same result.

Attract or repel

This is the point to understand before first use, and it doubles your options. One face concentrates the particles towards the point closest to the magnet: that is the classic gesture, the one that forms the bright band of the cat eye. The other pushes them apart instead, hollowing out a dark zone where the magnet passes and driving the light to the edges. The same polish, on the same nail, gives two opposite designs depending on the face used.

How to proceed

Apply the magnetic polish to the nail. Bring the magnet close, holding it two or three millimetres above the surface, never touching, and draw the pattern you want. Hold it in place for five to ten seconds so the effect forms, then cure under the lamp to fix the result.

Distance decides the sharpness

Two to three millimetres is close, and deliberately so. The nearer the magnet, the narrower and more contrasted the band. Moving it a centimetre away widens the distribution and softens the contrast. That variation lets you obtain a diffuse look close to the Textile collection from a sharp-band polish: something many people do not know is possible.

What not to do

Never rest the magnet on the fresh polish, even briefly. The mark stays, the polish lifts, and the finger has to be redone entirely. Hold it in the air, wrist resting on the table to steady the gesture.
