Terrazzo Gel HEYLOVE #2: the emerald of the range

Terrazzo Gel #2 breaks with the other three references, which all stay in pale tones. Here the ground is a deep emerald green against which white and silver flakes stand out sharply. The result suggests polished stone, malachite or aventurine, more than floor terrazzo.

Green, an under-served colour in salons

The observation is commercially simple. Design gel ranges nearly all include pink, beige and black, rarely a deep green. A client wanting a green accent generally leaves with something else. This reference answers a real demand with no supply, and it covers year-end party outfits as much as the khaki and forest wardrobes of autumn.

How to apply it

Over a cured base, lay the material in a thin coat without stretching it and let the flakes find their place. One to two minutes under the lamp. Then remove the dispersion layer with cleaner: on a dark ground, a forgotten tacky film visibly dulls the result, far more than on the pale references.

Opaque ground or clear ground

This is the choice that changes everything on this reference. Laid directly over the clear base, the green stays translucent and lets the nail plate show, giving a semi-precious stone effect. Laid over a white base first, it becomes noticeably denser and more saturated. Show both, they do not address the same clients.

What to combine it with

One or two emerald fingers on a hand otherwise done in nude gives the safest accent. In combination, Terrazzo Gel HEYLOVE #1 brings a neutral, mineral counterpoint that works better than a flat colour. Avoid pairing it with the two pinks of the range: the casts fight each other.
