Terrazzo Gel HEYLOVE #3: mineral peachy pink

Terrazzo Gel #3 rests on a warm peachy pink ground, punctuated by white flakes and rarer red fragments. Those last ones make all the difference: they stop the whole thing staying a pastel pink and give it the coloured irregularity of sandstone or pink marble.

The pink that escapes the childish register

This is a recurring problem with pink glitter gels: they tip quickly into a register adult clients refuse. The flake structure changes the reading. A fragment of pink stone reads as a material, not as decoration, so this reference works on hands where a classic pink glitter would be dismissed out of hand.

How to apply it

Prep with pH Bond HEYLOVE, apply Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, then a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds. Lay a thin coat, let it settle, cure for one to two minutes. Remove the dispersion layer with cleaner before the top coat.

What to look at before curing

The distribution of the red fragments. There are few of them and their position determines the balance of the nail: two red fragments grouped at the top of a plate with nothing below gives an unbalanced result the top coat will lock in. Take three seconds to move them with a brush tip before the lamp, it is the only worthwhile adjustment on this range.

The tone-on-tone set

Its closeness to pale skin tones allows a full application without the result looking loaded: the nail takes on a mineral texture while staying in the nude register. This is the option for clients who want something to happen without it being visible from three metres away. Terrazzo Gel HEYLOVE #1 fills the same role on more golden skin tones.
