Tips Stickers HEYLOVE Neon: the three fluorescents

The envelope covers the three labels of the Neon collection: Chick, Frog and Unicorn. It is the smallest collection in the Tint Base catalogue, and the most clear-cut.

Three labels, is it really useful

The question is fair and the answer lies in the name. A fluorescent yellow, a fluorescent green and a fluorescent pink are obviously recognisable by eye. But a client who loved her green last summer will come back saying "the green", and there are five greens in your range. It is the name on the label that lets you find exactly the same shade a year later, and that attention to detail gets noticed.

How to apply them

Stick each label on the matching tip, on the uncoloured side, before fixing the tip to the ring or fan. Only three tips, but place them apart rather than lost in the general chart: fluorescents draw the eye and visually crush the shades next to them.

A very short season

Fluorescents sell from June to August, almost exclusively, and to a specific clientele: holidays, festivals, teenagers with a parent. Bring the display out in May and put it away in September. The rest of the year it only takes up space.

Fluorescent needs a white base

A technical point to know before showing these shades. A neon applied directly to the nail looks dull because the nail plate absorbs light. Over an opaque white undercoat it regains its full intensity. Build your display tips with that base, otherwise you are showing a weakened version of what you sell.

Three shades, three moods

Chick plays the chick yellow, Frog the acid green, Unicorn the fluorescent pink. These are three distinct worlds rather than a gradation, and the client generally chooses on instinct, without hesitating between two.
