Smart Gel HEYLOVE Diode Blue: electric blue

Diode Blue is a bright, opaque blue, the complete opposite of the rest of the range. Its name evokes the light of a diode and the result matches: a saturated, frank colour that seeks no discretion.

Building a deep colour in one material

This is what justifies a coloured builder gel over a polish. A bright blue gel polish almost always needs two coats to cover, and on an extended nail that adds to the thickness of the builder gel already applied. Here a single material brings both structure and colour, which gives a thinner and quicker set.

How to apply it

Degrease with pH Bond HEYLOVE, apply Ultra Bond HEYLOVE to the free edge, let it dry. One coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE as a substrate, then the Smart Gel. Sixty seconds under a UV or LED lamp, then the top coat.

The cuticle line is worked before the lamp

As with any saturated shade, an overflow onto the skin shows immediately and becomes unrecoverable after curing. Go round the edge with the tip of a clean brush before going under the lamp. On a blue, that check is not optional.

Its uses

Extension with upper or lower forms, reinforcement, but above all coloured sets and accents. One or two fingers in Diode Blue on a nude hand structure the whole without weighing it down, and that is often how it sells best.

A word on wear

Glitter does not fade, it dulls: the top coat above it scratches, and the sparkle goes with it. That is why the quality of the seal decides how long the set stays impressive, far more than the gel underneath.
