Smart Gel HEYLOVE Winner: the red of the range

Winner is an opaque, frank red. It is the only red among the Smart Gels, and the one that answers the most timeless demand in the trade.

Red has no season

That is what sets it apart from the other bright shades in the range. Orange sells in summer, blue in bursts, bright pink in spring. Red is requested all year round, at every age, for every occasion. It is the only coloured bottle in the series you can hold in permanent stock without risk.

How to apply it

Degrease with pH Bond HEYLOVE, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE on the free edge, dry completely. One coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE as a substrate, then the Smart Gel. Sixty seconds under a UV or LED lamp, then the top coat.

What a builder gel changes on a red

Red is the colour that forgives surface irregularities least, because its saturation catches the light and reveals the slightest ripple. A self-levelling material therefore gives a far cleaner result than a polish applied over an imperfect base. And building in a single step avoids adding thickness to a colour that tolerates it badly.

Take care with the cuticle line

On a red, a trace on the skin near the cuticle can be seen from a metre away. Go round the edge with the tip of a clean brush before the lamp, every time.

A word on wear

Glitter does not fade, it dulls: the top coat above it scratches, and the sparkle goes with it. That is why the quality of the seal decides how long the set stays impressive, far more than the gel underneath.
