Smart Gel HEYLOVE Wet: the lavender blue of the Smart Gel range

Wet deliberately hesitates between two families. Too violet to be a frank blue, too blue to be a lavender, it occupies an in-between that explains its easiness at the desk.

Why a violet-tinted blue sells better than a frank blue

The answer lies in perception. A crisp blue is identified immediately as an assertive colour, which triggers reluctance in part of the clientele. A violet-tinted blue passes for a soft nuance, almost a pastel, and lifts the objection without losing any intensity. Between the two blues of the range, it is almost always this one that gets accepted first.

Relief or Wet

Both belong to the same family and look alike in the bottle. Smart Gel HEYLOVE Relief is more frankly sky, fresher, closer to pure blue. Wet is softer, shifted towards lavender, and is worn as a nuance rather than as a colour. Laid side by side on tips, the gap is immediate; described over the phone, they are indistinguishable.

How to apply it

File at 180, remove dust with cleanser, then pH Bond HEYLOVE and thirty seconds of evaporation. Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear goes on as a thin coat then is completed to smooth the surface, and cures in 30 seconds; remove the dispersion layer before continuing. Wet goes on as an architectural layer, 30-second flash then one minute with both hands. Remove the sticky layer, refine the free edge, then apply the top coat for one to two minutes.
