Tint Base HEYLOVE Morse: the shimmer rosy lilac of Pop Drinks

In Eastern Europe, Morse refers to a traditional red-berry drink, which explains the name while telling you nothing about the shade. Applied, it is a milky rosy lilac, run through with the silver shimmer common to the whole Pop Drinks collection. Nothing in the name allowed you to guess it.

The problem with collection names

Pop Drinks plays on drink references, and none of those names describes a colour. Cola is not dark brown, Morse is not red. In practical terms that means no client can choose from this collection on a catalogue: you need a physical display with tips, or you will multiply misunderstandings at the moment of application.

How to apply it

After pH Bond HEYLOVE and Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, lay down Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear, cure for 30 seconds, then one or two coats of Morse at 60 seconds. One coat leaves a very translucent milky lilac veil, two coats establish the colour and densify the glow.

What a milky finish means

A milky shade is neither transparent nor fully opaque. The white pigment dispersed through the body diffuses light instead of blocking it, which produces that characteristic veiled effect. In practice the colour builds coat by coat: you decide the degree of opacity, not the formula. That flexibility is valuable when one shade has to satisfy two clients with opposite expectations.

Who to recommend it to

Clients who like milky shades but find white monotonous. The lilac brings just enough colour to stand apart, and the shimmer supplies the movement that very pale shades so often lack. It is a good shade for reviving a loyal client who is starting to find her sets repetitive. Photograph it in daylight rather than under salon lighting: the shimmer only reveals itself properly when the light hits it directly.
