Tint Base HEYLOVE Pink Tonic: the shimmer pale lilac of Pop Drinks

Pink Tonic is a very pale, milky lilac brought to life by a silver shimmer. Despite its name, it leans more towards mauve than towards pink, which brings it close to Morse while remaining distinctly paler and cooler.

How to tell it apart from Morse

The two shades are neighbours and the question will come up in front of your display. Morse is a rosy lilac, denser and warmer. Pink Tonic is a pale lilac, cooler and more translucent. Applied in a single coat, the difference narrows considerably; in two coats it becomes obvious. If you can only take one, Morse covers a broader spectrum.

How to apply it

Dehydrate with pH Bond HEYLOVE, apply Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, then Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds, followed by two coats of Pink Tonic at 60 seconds. Its paleness demands complete coverage so the shimmer reads against an even ground.

Why pale shimmer shades sell well

In a window or on a display photograph, a very pale matte pastel often goes unnoticed. The same pastel with a shimmer catches the light and holds the eye. That is no small matter in a colour display: pale shimmer shades regularly generate more requests than their matte equivalents, at identical hue.

For which occasions

This is a wedding and ceremony shade, where the very pale lilac and the silver glow work as well up close as they do in photographs. It sits naturally with silver decoration and with jewellery in silver or white gold, a coherence that matters more than people think in ceremony pictures. Order it alongside Morse if you can: presented side by side, the two shades sell each other far better than either does alone.
