A petal nude on which the magnet draws a very gentle band of light. This is the entry shade of the Petal Veil collection, the one that wins over clients who find cat eye too showy.
The Petal Veil collection
Petal Veil is HEYLOVE's softest cat eye collection: six petal shades, named after flowers, designed for a magnetic effect that is veiled rather than spectacular. Where a classic cat eye draws a hard bar, these shades leave a diffuse band of light that is far easier to wear every day.
What to know before you apply
- The effect is built before curing: the magnet places the light, not the product.
- Work the shade in two thin layers, never one thick coat.
- A dark base increases the contrast, a light base softens the veil even further.
How to use it
- Prepare the nail, apply your base and cure.
- Apply a first thin layer of colour and cure 60 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV.
- Apply the second thin layer and, without curing, hold the magnet a few millimetres above the nail for a few seconds, until you get the band you want.
- Cure immediately, without moving the nail.
- Finish with the top coat of your choice, capping the free edge.
Good to know
Change the magnet angle from one nail to the next and you get offset bands, very pretty across a whole hand. If the band looks timid, the layer is usually too thick or the magnet too far away. Work one nail at a time: once cured, the effect cannot be reworked.
