Cat's Eye Gel Polish HEYLOVE Elixir: the sage green of the Magic collection

Elixir stands apart from the rest of the Magic collection. Where Mirage, Charm and Mystic stay in the greys and rosy shades, Elixir takes on a muted, vegetal sage green, over which the magnetic reflection takes a slightly golden cast.

Green, and why the effect helps sell it

Green is the colour that meets the most resistance at the desk. The cat's eye effect changes the equation: the client no longer takes in the colour but the movement of the light, and the green becomes a support rather than a subject. It is one of the rare ways to get a green adopted by a client who refuses on principle to wear one, and it is worth trying before giving up.

How to apply it

The routine stays that of the range: pH Bond HEYLOVE, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, then Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear under the lamp for 30 seconds. Spread Elixir in a thin coat, add a drop, even it out with the brush. Position the magnet according to the drawing you want and let it act for three to five seconds before a minute of curing.

What the effect brings to a dark colour

On a classic polish, a muted green can look dull, especially under artificial light. The magnetic particles correct exactly that flaw: they introduce a moving point of light that stops the colour flattening out. It is why magnetic effects first established themselves on dark shades before reaching the pale ones.

When to suggest it

An autumn and late-winter shade, one that accompanies the khakis and browns of the season. It also works very well on deeper skin tones, where sage green stays soft instead of cutting across, and pairs naturally with gold decoration.

How to introduce it
