Gel Polish HEYLOVE Woodland: the near-black burgundy of the Basic collection

Woodland opens the near-black series of the Basic collection. A burgundy so dense it reads as a black in low light, but whose warm brown cast reappears as soon as a direct source reaches it.

Why near-blacks age well

This is an advantage rarely put forward and yet a very concrete one. Pale shades let micro-scratches and wear marks show after two or three weeks of wear. On a ground this dense, those marks become invisible: the set looks new for far longer. For a client who stretches her appointments, that argument weighs more than the colour itself.

How to apply it

Dry with pH Bond HEYLOVE, lay Ultra Bond HEYLOVE on the edge and let it set. A coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cures in 30 to 60 seconds. Shake, apply Woodland in a thin veil, one minute of lamp. Go over the outline with a brush before curing, never after: on these shades a mark left on the skin cannot be recovered.

Woodland or Ristretto

Both are warm-cast near-blacks and they merge in photographs. Woodland keeps red in its mix and reads as a very dark burgundy. Gel Polish HEYLOVE Ristretto leans frankly towards chocolate brown. On a fair hand the gap is obvious; on deeper skin you have to lay them side by side to see it.

When to suggest it

From September to February, accompanying winter clothing. On deeper skin tones it extends the hand rather than cutting across it; on very fair hands it creates a frankly graphic contrast.

Which top to finish with

Gloss gives a lacquered depth. A matte finish turns it into a warm velvety near-black, markedly more contemporary and less expected on this kind of shade.

How many bottles to plan for

Dark shades turn over mainly from October to February. Plan this reference in September, not in spring, if you want it to move.
