Gel Tips HEYLOVE Almond Medium: the shape that suits every hand

The medium-length almond is the most consensual shape there is. Its curve follows the fingertip while lengthening it slightly, which gives a result nobody finds excessive and most clients find flattering.

What separates a gel tip from a form

This is the method choice that precedes everything else. A form requires sculpting the length with a brush, with the time and skill that implies. A gel tip brings the shape ready made: you glue it, you cure, the length is there. The application comes down to around twenty minutes for an even result, which no beginner achieves with forms.

How to apply

Buff the natural nail with a 100 grit file, dust off and degrease with ethyl alcohol at 96 per cent minimum, then apply a dehydrator. Apply Ultra Bond HEYLOVE over the whole surface, then a thin coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 20 seconds. Degrease the inside of the tip, apply Ultra Bond there and a thin coat of clear base. Without curing the base inside the tip, press it onto the nail and cure for one minute.

The step everyone gets wrong

Not curing the base inside the tip before pressing. It is counter-intuitive and yet it is the very principle of the method: the base stays liquid during the press, spreads across the whole surface and drives out the air. A pre-cured base leaves bubbles, and a bubble under a tip always ends in lifting within three weeks.

The real cost per set

A box of 500 tips covers fifty full sets, which is less than forty cents of material per client. Set against the price of an extension service, the tip is one of the least costly items in a full application.
