Gel Tips HEYLOVE Stiletto Medium: the point that lengthens

The stiletto narrows progressively to a fine point. No other shape produces such a clear lengthening effect, including in medium length: the converging lines alone make the finger look slimmer.

For which hands

It is the shape to offer for short or broad fingers, on which an almond goes unnoticed and a square accentuates the width. The effect is immediate and the client sees it from the first finger applied, which helps carry the decision. On fingers that are already long and slim, however, the result can tip into something very pronounced: an almond is safer there.

How to apply

Buffing with a 100 grit file, dusting off, degreasing with 96 per cent ethyl alcohol, dehydrator. Ultra Bond HEYLOVE then a thin coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear, 20 seconds under the lamp. Degrease the inside of the tip, apply Ultra Bond and a thin coat of base, press without curing, one minute under the lamp.

The point concentrates stress

That is the mechanical particularity of this shape. The whole load of an impact bears on a very small surface, where a ballerina or a square spread it across the entire free edge. The stated flexibility of the gel comes fully into play here, but explain to the client that the point is not a tool: not for scraping, not for opening, not for peeling things off.

Finishing file work

A stiletto tip comes out of the box with a standard point that never corresponds exactly to the axis of the finger. A light lateral file, following the natural line of the finger rather than that of the tip, makes all the difference between a correct application and a genuinely fitted one.
