Gypsum Gel HEYLOVE Beige: tone-on-tone texture

Gypsum Gel Beige is the only one of the four that can vanish into the colour of the ground beneath it. Applied over a nude of similar tone, it no longer reads as decoration but as a variation in material: the nail changes surface without changing colour.

The design that does not look like one

This is a use the other shades do not allow. A white or black texture always announces that something has been done. Beige over beige produces a tone-on-tone effect where the client senses something is happening without being able to identify what. For professions that demand discreet hands, it is often the only permissible flourish, and it charges like a full design.

How to apply it

Cured ground, spatula pick-up, placement without stretching. For tweed, cross regular strokes with a flat brush varying the pressure slightly; for linen, keep the strokes parallel and fine; for terracotta, dab with a sponge then smooth the crests. Cure for 30 to 60 seconds depending on how much you applied.

Tweed, a pattern worth knowing

It comes back every autumn and clients ask for it by name. The technique is three gestures: regular vertical strokes, horizontal strokes over them, then a gold thread or a single isolated flake placed at the intersections. Coin Gel HEYLOVE Gold White works well for that last step, in minimal quantity. Allow ten minutes for two fingers, which remains reasonable for an add-on.

The finish

The Top HEYLOVE Super Matte is the coherent option: shiny fabric does not exist. On a fully tone-on-tone set, leaving the untextured fingers glossy creates the only contrast the whole thing needs.
