Smart Gel HEYLOVE Mellow: the powdery pink

Mellow is a pastel pink whose white component softens the shade. Where Bloomy stays a frank light pink, this one leans towards the powdery, which changes how it reads on the hand.

The pink that calms instead of contrasting

The nuance has a practical consequence. On a hand reddened by cold or by wet work, a frank pink sharpens the redness because it extends it. A powdery pink, whose share of white lowers the saturation, soothes the contrast instead. It is a criterion to watch in winter and on clients whose hands work.

How to apply it

Degrease with pH Bond HEYLOVE, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE on the free edge, dry completely. One coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE as a substrate, then the Smart Gel for extension or reinforcement. Sixty seconds under a UV or LED lamp, then the top coat.

As a baby boomer base

Its softness makes it an interesting fade base. White blends into it without marking a boundary, whereas a more saturated pink forces you to work the transition longer for the same result. That is time saved on a set that demands plenty of it.

Which format to choose

The 15 ml to test or as a back-up shade, the 30 ml as soon as the nuance enters your regular sets. The cost per millilitre drops markedly on the large format, and a pastel of this kind is used all year round.

Its uses

Extension with upper or lower forms up to a medium length, reinforcement of natural nails, repairing a broken corner, correcting a short square. The gel self-levels and does not heat up during curing.
