Tint Base HEYLOVE Ivory: the warm alternative to milky white

Ivory is a soft, creamy ivory. It belongs to the same very pale family as Bride, but with a warm cast that changes the whole result: where milky white leans cool, ivory warms the hand.

Bride or Ivory: how to choose

The question comes up at every appointment in front of the display. Bride gives a crisp milky effect, almost graphic, highly photogenic but capable of hardening marked or reddened hands. Ivory, creamier, softens instead and blends better on warm-undertone skin. For a client who finds milky white too white without being able to explain why, Ivory is almost always the answer.

How to apply it

After pH Bond HEYLOVE and Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, lay down Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear and cure for 30 seconds, then one or two coats of Ivory at 60 seconds. One coat gives a translucent veil that lets the lunula live; two coats even everything out and create an opaque ground ready for nail art.

A shade that forgives marked hands

On hands reddened by cold or by wet work, very pale cool shades create a hard contrast that emphasises the redness. The creamy cast of Ivory does the opposite: it brings the nail colour closer to the skin and visually calms the whole. That is a concrete argument to offer in the salon rather than a matter of taste.

Which services it suits

It makes an excellent French base for clients who find a white smile line too stark, and an ideal ground shade for minimalist sets. On short nails its warmth avoids the clinical look that very pale cool shades can produce. On long nails it stays discreet where a milky white would quickly dominate the hand.
