The envelope brings together the five labels of the grey segment: Wool, Dust, Cool Gray, Mouse and Graphite.
Grey is the most underestimated colour
That is a salon observation. Few technicians keep a full range of greys, because they look dull in the bottle. On the nail the effect is the opposite: a grey sets off the hand and the jewellery without drawing attention to itself, which is exactly what clients look for in a professional context. It sells as soon as you show it, and never sells while it stays at the back of a drawer.
Five greys, two temperatures
That is the distinction the display must make legible. Cool Gray and Graphite lean towards blue, Wool and Dust towards beige, Mouse sits in the middle. On a hand reddened by cold, a cool grey sharpens the contrast while a warm grey soothes it. That is a choice criterion the chart should make obvious.
How to apply them
Stick each label on the matching tip, on the side that does not carry the colour, before fixing the tip to the ring or fan. Five greys applied on the same day merge completely: label as you go.
The background counts double
Never build greys on a white or grey support: they disappear on it. A coloured or black background gives them back the presence they have on a hand, and the demonstration becomes possible.
A range with no season
Greys are worn all year and depend on no trend. It is a segment to leave in place permanently, next to the nudes rather than with the colours.
A word on wear
Glitter does not fade, it dulls: the top coat above it scratches, and the sparkle goes with it. That is why the quality of the seal decides how long the set stays impressive, far more than the gel underneath.
