Tips Stickers HEYLOVE Jelly Gel: the chart of translucents

A translucent chart is built differently

That is the point to understand before assembling this display. A translucent material has no colour of its own: it takes on the colour of the background it goes over. A white tip and a clear tip will give two different results with the same Jelly Gel, and that is what the client needs to see. So build these six references on clear tips, which reproduce what actually happens on the nail.

Double up if you can

The most effective demonstration is to apply each shade twice, in one coat and in two. The difference is spectacular on translucent materials and it explains better than any talk why the same reference can give a veil or an assertive colour.

How to apply them

Stick each label on the matching tip, on the side that does not carry the material, before fixing the tip to the ring or fan. Label as you build: on translucents, identifying them afterwards is particularly difficult.

Clear needs a label

That sounds absurd and it is not. A clear tip with no material and a tip covered with Jelly Gel Clear look very much alike. The label is what tells the client this is indeed a product, and that a transparent gel is a service in itself and not the absence of one.

A finishing range

Jelly Gels go on as a veil over colour or as a layer to soften a contrast. This chart therefore gains from being presented next to the colours rather than in isolation, to show what layering allows.
