Cat's Eye Gel Polish HEYLOVE Charm: the taupe of the Magic collection

Charm is a warm taupe, between brown and grey. On this neutral, moderately dark ground, the cat's eye effect shows as a luminous gradient rather than a clean line, which gives a result markedly more dressed up than spectacular.

The direction of the magnet decides the drawing

This is the point technicians master within a few sets and it changes everything. With the magnet held vertically, the band runs along the length of the nail and visually lengthens the hand. Held horizontally, it crosses the nail and gives a more graphic effect. On the diagonal, the reflection becomes an oblique sash. You can vary it from finger to finger on the same hand, which turns a flat colour into a creative service at no extra cost.

How to apply it

The preparation does not change: pH Bond HEYLOVE, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE dried, Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds. Then comes Charm, in a thin coat, completed with a drop you spread with the brush. Bring the magnet close without touching the material and count three to five seconds before going under the lamp for one minute.

Distance matters as much as duration

A magnet held too far away does not attract the particles enough and the effect stays blurred. Stuck to the material, it risks touching the polish and ruining the set. The right distance is a few millimetres, and you get the feel of it in two or three tries. Work finger by finger: by the time you moved on to the next one, the particles of the previous would already have started to disperse.
