Gel Polish HEYLOVE Sunshine: the golden yellow of the Basic collection

Sunshine is a saturated yellow with a golden cast, closer to honey than to lemon. That warmth changes everything: it makes it markedly more flattering on the skin than cold, greened yellows.

Why some yellows work and others do not

A cold yellow, leaning towards green, pulls the hands towards grey and sharpens redness. A golden yellow, loaded with orange, produces the opposite effect and behaves like a piece of gold jewellery laid on the skin. Sunshine belongs to that second family, which explains why it works on clients convinced they hate yellow.

How to apply it

pH Bond HEYLOVE dries, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE goes on the edge and dries in the air, Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cures in 30 to 60 seconds. Shake vigorously, then Sunshine in two thin veils of one minute. Yellows demand complete opacity: an insufficient coat lets the nail bed show and greens the result.

How to get it adopted

As an accent on one or two fingers only, paired with the warm nudes of the range. It is the most effective way of introducing an unusual colour: the client tries without committing her whole manicure.

In pedicure

Golden yellow works remarkably well on the feet, where it extends the tan instead of contrasting with it. Wear is also longer there than on the hands.

When to suggest it

From June to September mainly, on tanned skin which it extends naturally. It is a shade that gets noticed immediately on a display and prompts the client's question.

Gloss gives the gold its full luminosity. Matte dulls a shade whose whole appeal rests on light.
