Coin Gel HEYLOVE Silver Purple: the cool glitter of the Coin Gel trio

Silver Purple is defined by an absence: it contains no gold. White, purple and silver only, which makes it the one genuinely cool option in the range and a shade its neighbours cannot replace.

Why a range needs a cool glitter

Gold glitters go with most outfits, and that is precisely the problem: they are everywhere. On a client wearing silver, white, blue or grey, a gold accent creates a false note you notice in photographs without being able to name it. Keeping a silver and purple glitter in reserve solves that case in a minute, and it comes up more often than you would expect for winter and evening looks.

How to apply it

Prep with pH Bond HEYLOVE then Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, and a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds. Lay Silver Purple in a thin coat, let the material settle, cure for one to two minutes depending on thickness. The purple flakes are larger than the white ones, so check none is overhanging the free edge before curing: once set, it can only be corrected with a file.

The base changes everything

On a clear base the flakes float and the nail plate stays visible: a light result, suited to short nails. On black or plum the purple comes forward and the whole thing becomes far more dramatic. Two different services from the same jar: show both on tips before letting the client choose.

The finish

The relief created by the flakes calls for careful sealing. One thick coat of Top HEYLOVE No Sticky applied without pressure and without going back over is enough in most cases; with a heavy load, two thin coats are better. A pass of Top HEYLOVE Super Matte over the top gives a very different result, with the flakes standing out against a velvet ground.
