Reflective Gel Polish HEYLOVE Brave: the chocolate brown of Qualities

Brave is a deep chocolate brown, almost black in low light. Its warmth sets it clearly apart from the other dark shades of the collection, all of them rather cool, and that changes how the silver shimmer behaves in it: over a warm ground, the silver reads slightly more golden.

One coat or two, on a reflective

The number of coats changes not only the opacity but the very density of the effect. One coat gives a translucent ground where the particles stay spaced out and the nail shows through slightly. Two coats double the quantity of reflective particles and produce a markedly denser result. On this range the second coat is nearly always justified, because it is what tips the set from discreet to remarkable.

How to apply it

After pH Bond HEYLOVE and Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, lay the Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear, cure for 30 seconds, then Brave in two thin coats of 60 seconds. A glossy top is indispensable so the particles reflect along the same axis.

Its place among the dark shades of the series

Qualities has five dark shades: Powerfull in black, Daring in slate grey, Playfull in fir green, Charming in burgundy and Brave in chocolate brown. Brave is the only one with a warm cast, which makes it the natural complement of the other four rather than a competitor. In a restricted assortment it is often the second dark shade to order after the black.

When to suggest it

This is an autumn shade, one that accompanies the browns and camels of the season. It also works very well on deeper skin tones, where the warm brown extends the hand instead of cutting across it, and stays wearable in daytime where a black with effect can look too dressed up.

On which lengths

On short nails Brave passes without difficulty in a professional setting. On longer shapes the warmth of the brown has more surface to speak and the shimmer gains in density.
