Reflective Gel Polish HEYLOVE Space: the holographic black of the collection

Space is a deep black in which HEYLOVE has dispersed a holographic shimmer and reflective particles. The dark ground acts as a setting: it is on black that these particles show best, by simple contrast.

What a reflective polish really is

The misunderstanding is constant, and it is better defused before the set. A reflective is not a glitter: its particles do not shine of their own accord, they return the light they receive, exactly as a road sign does. In the ambient light of a salon or an office the result stays sober, almost that of a classic polish with a slight satin. It takes a direct source : a flash, a spotlight, a car headlight : for the effect to appear all at once.

How to apply it

Degrease with pH Bond HEYLOVE, apply Ultra Bond HEYLOVE and let it air dry. Lay the Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear and cure for 30 seconds. Shake the bottle, then apply one or two coats of Space, 60 seconds each. Finish with a glossy top, never a matte one: a matte finish diffuses light and cancels the reflective effect entirely.

On which shapes and lengths

On short square nails the black stays graphic and perfectly wearable day to day. On a long almond or ballerina, the larger surface gives the particles room to speak and the result becomes frankly theatrical. This is a shade where the shape of the nail changes the outcome more than the colour does, which is worth announcing before you begin.

Who to suggest it to

Clients who like dark sets but find matte black too severe, and those who go out in the evening. It also works very well for the end-of-year holidays, where dimmed lighting and flash photography give it its full meaning.
