Tint Base HEYLOVE 6 p.m.: the lavender blue of the Sunset collection

Tint Base HEYLOVE Sunset leans towards pink and gives a softer lavender. 6 p.m. contains more blue and comes closer to blue-violet. Laid side by side on tips in daylight the gap is immediate; described over the phone they are indistinguishable. It is exactly the kind of pair that demands a physical display.

Why a violet-tinted blue sells better than a frank blue

The answer lies in perception. A crisp blue is identified immediately as an assertive colour, which triggers reluctance in part of the clientele. A violet-tinted blue passes for a soft nuance and lifts the objection without losing any intensity. It is almost always this one that gets accepted first.

How to apply it

Degrease with pH Bond HEYLOVE, lay the acid-free primer Ultra Bond HEYLOVE on the free edge and let it dry completely. Apply a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear as a foundation, cure for 30 seconds, then one or two coats of Tint Base to cure for 60 seconds in a UV or LED lamp.

With which decoration

Silver linework and fine white lines suit it particularly well, its cool cast agreeing with cool metals. Gold decoration creates a warm break on this ground.

When to suggest it

All year round, with a spring peak. It is a shade clients ask for themselves as soon as the fine weather comes.

On which lengths

On short nails it stays measured; on medium length the colour gains surface and becomes markedly more assertive.
