Tint Base HEYLOVE Basil: the deep green of the Lifestyle collection

Basil pushes green towards depth. A dense vegetal green, slightly greyed, recalling the basil leaf whose name it carries without ever falling into fir green.

Basil or Matcha

Both are greyed greens and look alike in the bottle. Tint Base HEYLOVE Matcha is light and soft: it passes for a coloured neutral. Basil is far darker and reads as a real colour. On the same client, the first is forgotten, the second is noticed. Laid side by side on tips in daylight the gap is obvious; described over the phone they are indistinguishable.

Deep green, a wardrobe colour

That is how it should be offered. A dense green is not a fantasy colour but a tone found in autumn coats, knitwear and accessories. A client who wears khaki or bottle green will immediately understand the match, where she would refuse a vivid green.

How to apply it

Degrease the plate thoroughly with pH Bond HEYLOVE. Lay the acid-free primer Ultra Bond HEYLOVE on the free edge and wait until the liquid is completely dry. Apply a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear as a foundation and cure for 30 seconds. Then lay one or two coats of Tint Base, curing for 60 seconds in a UV or LED lamp. Finish with the top coat.

When to suggest it

From September to February mainly, where its density agrees with seasonal wardrobes. Gold decoration finds an immediate coherence there, green and gold forming one of the safest pairings in nail art.

On which lengths

On short nails the result stays sober; on medium length the shade gains surface without becoming showy.

Which top to finish with

Gloss preserves the depth of the shade; a matte finish gives it a more contemporary look.
