Tint Base HEYLOVE Ginger: the golden yellow of the Juicy collection

Ginger leans towards honey rather than lemon. That distinction makes all the difference: yellow is the hardest colour to wear on nails, and it is precisely its temperature that decides the outcome.

Why some yellows flatter and others do not

A cold, greenish yellow pulls the hands towards grey and brings out any redness. A golden yellow, loaded with orange, does the opposite and behaves like a piece of gold jewellery against the skin. Ginger belongs to that second family. It is the reason it works on clients who will swear to you that they hate yellow.

How to apply it

After pH Bond HEYLOVE and Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, lay down Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear, cure for 30 seconds, then Ginger in one or two coats of 60 seconds. Yellows demand complete opacity: an insufficient coat lets the nail bed show through and turns greenish. Two thin coats are better than one thick one.

In pedicure, a different status altogether

What meets resistance on the hands passes far more easily on the feet. Clients who refuse an unusual colour in manicure will happily accept it in pedicure, where the work is less visible day to day and gets revealed in sandals. It is an effective commercial way in for the brighter shades of the Juicy collection.

How to get it adopted

As an accent on one or two fingers only, paired with the warm nudes of the range such as Tint Base HEYLOVE Peach. It is the most effective way to introduce an unusual colour: the client tries it without committing her whole manicure, and often comes back asking for it as a full coat at the next appointment. Bear in mind that a yellow always looks more intimidating in the bottle than it does once applied and topped, so let the tip do the talking.
