Tint Base HEYLOVE Taupe blends powdery pink and grey. That grey tempers the pink and yields a shade markedly more contemporary than a classic beige nude, without ever turning so cool that it looks dull on the hand. Neutral pH 6.7. The elastic texture follows the nail without cracking.

Tint Base HEYLOVE Taupe: the powdery pink grey of the Nude Collection
Taupe is a powdery pink grey. That double cast makes it the most dressed-up shade in the Nude Collection: the pink brings the warmth needed to stay within nude territory, while the grey cuts the sweetness and sets a more adult register.
Why grey changes how a nude is read
A purely rosy nude reads as a pretty manicure. The same nude greyed reads as a considered one. It is a difference of register rather than of quality, but it corresponds to two distinct clienteles. Taupe is the shade to bring out for a client who refuses pink on principle and yet does not suit beige.
How to apply it
Usual routine: pH Bond HEYLOVE, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds, then one or two coats of Taupe at 60 seconds each. On greyed shades, preparing the nail plate counts double: grey does not hide ridges, it underlines them.
Who to recommend it to
Clients working in environments where bright colour is frowned upon, and those who keep coming back to the same beiges without ever being satisfied. Taupe offers them exactly the same level of discretion with a more worked-through look, which is often enough to unlock a client settled in her habits.
What shows it off
A matte finish suits it particularly well, emphasising the powdery quality. It pairs neatly with Tint Base HEYLOVE Quartz for a cool nude gradient, and serves as a sober ground for metallic nail art, where the warm-cool contrast works remarkably. Gold warms it; silver, by contrast, sharpens its powdery, graphic side. Filed between the beiges and the greys on your display, it becomes far easier to explain than it is to describe in words.
