Tint Base HEYLOVE Tomato: the orange red of the Met Gala collection

Tomato leans distinctly towards orange. That is what sets it apart at a glance from the four other reds in Met Gala, all of them cooler or deeper. A solar, saturated red with nothing of the classic lipstick about it.

What separates it from Fire

The question comes up in every appointment, since the two shades sit next to each other on the display. Tint Base HEYLOVE Fire is a straight, balanced red with no dominant cast. Tomato tips towards orange and therefore reads lighter to the eye, more summery. On a tanned hand Tomato extends the tan; Fire contrasts with it.

How to apply it

Prep with pH Bond HEYLOVE and Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, lay down Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear and cure for 30 seconds. Apply one or two coats of Tomato, 60 seconds each under a UV or LED lamp. With reds, pay particular attention to the cuticle line: the colour forgives no overflow whatsoever.

One product, base and colour together

The HEYLOVE routine does not call for a gel polish after the Tint Base: colour and levelling base are one and the same. You save a step and a layer of product compared with a base, camouflage and colour sequence. Across a full day that is several tens of minutes gained, and a thinner set that wears more comfortably.

Which sets it suits

It is perfect as a full coat on short nails, where bright red stays graphic without becoming showy. In a reverse French, or on the tip over a nude base such as Tint Base HEYLOVE Cashew, it gives a crisp and highly photogenic contrast. It also makes an excellent summer pedicure shade. Keep in mind that the shade always reads deeper in the bottle than on the finished nail, so let the client judge from a tip rather than from the glass.
