Tint Base HEYLOVE Goji: the raspberry red of the Forest collection

Goji brings the only frankly warm note to a collection dominated by greens, blues and greys. A red pulling towards raspberry, dense without being scarlet, which colours the set in an owned way.

Red is requested, not offered

It is the exact opposite of vivid shades like turquoise or yellow. Red is part of every client's vocabulary: those who want it ask for it themselves, often before sitting down. Your work consists less in selling it than in having the right nuance in stock at the right moment, particularly before the end-of-year holidays where demand concentrates over a few weeks.

How to apply it

Degrease the plate thoroughly with pH Bond HEYLOVE. Lay the acid-free primer Ultra Bond HEYLOVE on the free edge and wait for complete drying. Apply a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear as a foundation and cure for 30 seconds. Then lay one or two coats of Tint Base, count 60 seconds of curing, then finish with the top coat.

On which hands it shows best

Its slight cool cast makes it flattering on fair, cool skin tones, where an orange red would look harsh. On deeper skin it also works well, gaining in depth.

How many bottles to plan for

Red is the only vivid colour whose demand is predictable: it peaks in December and stays steady the rest of the year. It is a reference to keep in duplicate if your clientele wears colour, and to order before November so as not to miss the season.

On which lengths

On short nails the result stays graphic and crisp; on medium length the shade gains surface.

Which top to finish with

Gloss preserves the depth of the shade; a matte finish gives it a more contemporary look.
