Paint Gel HEYLOVE Metallic: the mirror effect in a jar

Paint Gel Metallic answers a demand that chrome powder alone used to handle: getting a reflective surface on the nail. The difference is that it goes on with a brush, like a paint, and the pigment aligns itself during the seconds that follow.

What you gain by dropping the powder

Chrome powder requires a dedicated applicator, a rubbing motion over a tacky layer, and above all a cloud of particles that settles on the workstation and on neighbouring sets. A gel in a jar removes all three problems at once. It also allows what powder cannot: a fine metallic line, a filled area within a boundary, a metallic motif on a matte ground. How to apply it

Stir the material before picking it up, the pigment settles at the bottom of the jar. Apply a thin coat over a cured ground and wait a few seconds without touching it: this delay is when the pigment orients itself and the mirror appears. Cure for one to two minutes.

Sealing makes or breaks the set

This is the critical point and it deserves reading before first use. A top coat applied normally, with back and forth strokes and slight pressure, tears the pigment alignment apart and the mirror effect vanishes instantly. The correct move: a generous load of top coat, one single pass, no pressure, no going back, then straight into the lamp. Practise once on tips before doing it on a client.

What its price implies

It is the most expensive reference in the HEYLOVE design range, and should be treated as such: it is not a full coverage product. It works in thin coats over small areas, and a jar lasts a long time in that use. For metallic over the whole nail, the Solid Platinum Gel HEYLOVE range is better suited and less costly.
