Solid Paint Gel HEYLOVE Black: the black for line work

Solid Paint Gel Black is built for the line, not the block. Its thick consistency and dense pigment give a clean stroke that keeps its width between the moment the brush lays it down and the moment the lamp fixes it. That is the condition of any graphic design.

Black is the least forgiving colour

On a white stroke, an irregularity passes. On a black stroke it leaps out, and a smudge on a light ground means redoing the whole finger. Dense pigment partly compensates, since it removes the need to go back over the line to build it up, and that repeated pass is exactly what causes most failures.

How to apply it

Load a small amount onto a fine, clean brush. Draw in one continuous movement with your wrist resting, without going backwards. Cure for one to two minutes. Low dispersion means you can add a second element straight on top without wiping with cleanser, which avoids smearing a freshly cured line.

The uses that come back in salon

Minimalist lines first: one or two strokes on a nude ground are now among the most frequent requests, and that is a three minute design. Outlines next, to frame a coloured motif and give it a finished look. And lettering, which keeps coming back for initials and dates. None of these uses needs a solid black block: this is a line product.
