Flash Fish HEYLOVE #3: silver and copper

Flash Fish #3 is the only one in the range to swing to the warm side. Copper holds a substantial place here, almost equal to silver, which makes the mix distinctly more golden than the other five and brings it close to champagne.

The reference that is almost always missing

Glitter ranges generally lean cool, because silver is easier to match. The result: when a client arrives in a camel, terracotta or chocolate outfit, there is nothing to offer that will not strike a false note. A copper glitter solves that precise case, which in fact comes up throughout autumn.

How to apply it

The usual prep with pH Bond HEYLOVE and Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds. Lay the material in a thin coat and let the hexagons settle before going under the lamp. Allow one to two minutes depending on thickness.

Which skin tones it suits

That is the question to ask before offering it. Copper harmonises golden and olive hands, which it extends rather than cuts across. On very pale, rosy skin tones it creates a sharper contrast that is not unpleasant but does get noticed: better then to keep it to one or two accent fingers rather than the whole hand.

What to pair it with

It sits naturally with the Tint Base shades of the Nuts collection, whose warm beiges share its cast, and works well as an accent over a chocolate or terracotta ground. Over a cool ground, by contrast, the result lacks coherence: Flash Fish HEYLOVE #1 is better suited there.
