Flash Fish HEYLOVE #5: silver and turquoise

Flash Fish #5 is the reference that gives the range its name. Turquoise mixed with silver, with holographic reflections turning green depending on the angle, produces exactly the scale effect the name alludes to. It is also the only genuinely green shade in the whole HEYLOVE glitter catalogue.

A colour with no equivalent in the range

That is its main argument. Cool glitters are plentiful, green glitters very rare, and a client looking for a turquoise accent generally finds nothing available in a standard salon. For summer, holiday and marine outfit requests, this reference is the only answer.

How to apply it

Prep with pH Bond HEYLOVE then Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, a coat of Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds. Place without stretching and let the material settle. One to two minutes under the lamp. As across the range, the jar valve seats back after use: get into the habit of closing it, it prevents runs around the thread.

The scale fade

This is the design that suits it best and it is simple to carry out. Load the material on the free third of the nail and blend towards the cuticle with a clean brush: the density decreases progressively and the result suggests a fin. Over a blue or aqua ground the effect is far more pronounced than over clear.

What to tell the client

Turquoise is a seasonal colour and it is worth saying plainly: applied in October on hands about to spend winter in a coat, it will look out of step. This is a spring and summer shade, to be offered as such rather than defended all year round.
